Kim Tai is a real jewel in the rough with the hole in the wall appearance giving way to outstanding food and super nice folks running the place. We had the rock n roll beef (pictured - delicious), banh mi with pork (solid), wide rice noodle with pork and bean sprouts (outstanding), bun with pork and egg roll (average) and crawfish (pictured - excellent). Overall, really good food and reasonably priced. Great service. Beer suitable for the food. Definitely would come back again when in Houston.

The food here was really good! Very try authentic. Had the bun bo hue and it was delicious and flavourful. Also had the crawfish which was probably my favourite. Complimented with the lemonade and viet coffee, everything tasted fresh and flavourful

#1 WORST RESTAURANT. First, parking was extremely tight and difficult to find at Kim Tai. Once I finally got inside, I was shocked by how dirty the place was. For a Vietnamese restaurant, I expected much better and initially assumed it was simply the end-of-day rush and that cleaning hadn't been done yet. I ordered a beef bánh mì, and it was incredibly underwhelming. The sandwich had very little protein, and the vegetables did not look fresh at all. I actually opened Google to make sure I was at the right place because I couldn't believe this was the restaurant with the "high rating," and I began to question the integrity of those reviews. Based on the condition of the food, I chose not to eat it because I was concerned about getting sick. Paid for the meal and left.On my way out, my clothes smelled strongly of old burnt grease from being inside the restaurant. Given my experience, I genuinely don't understand the high ratings this place receives. They did not match what I encountered during my visit. This was, without question, the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, and I will not be returning.

Delicious crawfish boil! The rice cake was also a highlight! Every single dish felt like it was made with high quality fresh ingredients - the place it no frills, but they do not skimp on food quality. Great place to eat good quality food.

This is within walking distance of our home. We went for the first time recently and were amazed by everything we ordered. Everything tastes great! My husband ordered the Bahn Mi but he finished my soup because it was sooo good! And he typically doesn’t drink that much soup! The sauce for the rice cake is by far my favorite from different Vietnamese restaurants. The service is also very good, very friendly and fast. P.S. we come here regularly and I finally ordered the Claypot catfish, so good! I’ve tried this dish at different restaurants, and this is probably my favorite so far 🤩
