Came with a friend to Local Pho near Katy Freeway, after being turned away from the other pho restaurant in the heights. I love the large parking lot shared with other restaurants. Friendly service and plenty of place to sit. We like our pho and rice bowl from the organized menu. Restroom was clean too. Nice views of the garden at the spacious dining area.
The chicken pho and egg rolls were delicious! Perfect for this chilly weather! Great spot for lunch or dinner. Plenty of seating, and nice open vibes.
Local Pho is famous for their pho and Vietnamese food. We ordered the combination pho and some egg rolls. Overall the food was decent and the pho was massive. They have inside and outside seating. The staff is nice and polite. In conclusion the pho was super good.
You know how you can just tell a Viet restaurant isn't run, or cooked, by Viets by taking a look around? I don't mean it in a bad way, because I love the vibe here, cool and hip industrial styled decors, spacious and airy with plenty of seatings, but that also means I'm going to get a watered down version of ethic food. And that's exactly the case. Phở broth was kinda half baked and my cold cut banh mi, instead of cha lua, had some round white meat slides that looked straight out of an Oscar Mayer package. Food still tastes ok, just not very authentic, but I wasn't expecting that anyway.
Walking in, the setting is very industrial and well thought out with wood and steel, love it. Now for the real rating, the food, golden award at least from my opinion. Had the chicken pho and did absolutely nothing to it, killer flavor. Highly recommended.
