⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Stopped by Old Saigon on Westheimer and had a great experience. Ordered the grilled chicken rice plate with a fried egg for around $13 — good portion size and flavorful. The egg rolls were really yummy and definitely worth getting too. Staff was nice and even let me do a small customization with my order, which I appreciated. Solid spot for a quick meal and I’ll definitely be back.
I needed a good phó restaurant nearby!! And i found it!!! The people acknowledge you as soon as you walk in the door, and with a smile. Service is not slow at all and the play this relaxing soft music in the background, even my 7 year old said he liked it. Very savory, good portion sizes, i really loved it! And they gave us a sample of like a creme brulee dessert... Yummy!
Such a soothing experience, the atmosphere was really really calming. The music was nice and loud, but not too loud the lights and the temperature was just right. Not to mention the food I ordered the old Saigon pho, and it was such a flavor blast I absolutely loved it almost ordered seconds. To finish it off I had an amazing server Tyler, who gave exceptional service refilled my ice tea constantly and always made sure that everything was nice ! I really love this place and I’m so more than sure to come again. Loved it !!!
This place was an average Vietnamese place. I was torn between a three or a four, but I ended up giving them a four just because of the overall experience and the fact that they do a tiny crème brûlée dessert at the end on its teaspoon which is a nice touch and just for that the rating pushed slightly however overall the food was average I would say I was happy that they had a vegetarian for which is rare to see at Vietnamese restaurant so that was another reason why I chose to go with a four point rating other than that my husband got a spicy chicken lemongrass ban mi which was really average. We’ve had much better banmi in other places and then he also got a calamari which was a bit unusual and salty and the portion size didn’t quite match up to the price point. It was also a little bit overdone which made it robbery in texture.
Amazing Vietnamese restaurant in a bustling strip mall. Their bun mee is absolutely stuffed with beef and a delicious sauce. It's fragrant and I'm 265 lb and I am stuffed. The French fries are crispy and phenomenal, not something you'd expect from a Vietnamese spot, and the crème brûlée spoon that you get at the end gratis is a nice touch also. Great service and I will be back many many times. Believe me I've eaten at tens of Vietnamese spots across the city and even in this economy you will leave feeling satisfied and stuffed
